China officially launched the Galaxy Kylin Operating System V11 at the 2025 China Operating System Industry Conference, positioning it as the country’s most advanced homegrown platform to date.
Developed on a newly designed “Panshi” (Rock) architecture, Galaxy Kylin V11 is pitched as a breakthrough in user experience, cybersecurity, and ecosystem maturity. The system has already surpassed one million applications, making it the first Chinese operating system to achieve such scale, and is fully compatible with mainstream domestic CPUs, GPUs and hardware boards.
