Using the Windows control panel (Windows 10)

  1. Click the Windows search bar in the lower left.
  2. Type Control Panel.
  3. Select the Control Panel match or hit Enter.
  4. Select Network and Internet.
  5. Click Network and Sharing Center.
  6. Choose Change adapter settings on the left side.
  7. If you have a wired connection, double-click Ethernet and click Details. If you have a wireless adapter, double-click Wireless Network Connection [Network Name] and click Details. Review the IPv4 label for your IP address.

These steps give you authoritative ways to confirm your device’s local IPv4 address, which is essential for tasks like troubleshooting connectivity issues, configuring routers, or setting up network devices.
